Position Title: Industrial Training Coordinator

Term of Position: 12 Months
Position Description:(primary functions)
Plans, organizes, directs, controls, and coordinates the industrial training plan to meet the needs of industry on a district-wide basis; analyzes and justifies activities to promote the organization of industrial training programs; spends at least 50% of time making contacts with industry; supervises industrial training instructors involved in the delivery of training programs
Minimum Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establishes and maintains contact with all industry; communicates the industrial training concept to industry
- Acts as liaison between the CCC and industry
- Collaborates with Accelerate MS, local planning development agency, and other partners and stakeholders within the CCC service delivery area and on the state level
- Establishes a communication link between the institution and the industrial community
- Develop and establish a working and meaningful relationship with industrial organizations such as MMA, CC, and other industrial development groups
- Develops a reporting format to report industrial training needs and results
- Provides the Executive Director and trainers with information on industrial needs for program curricula changes; assists in program development
- Provides technical assistance and support to regular programs
- Develops and maintains a working relationship with secondary school personnel
- Supervises and project manages assigned training programs
- Provides start-up training programs for new industry as needed and requested
- Adheres to Accelerate MS’s policy and procedures for planning, organizing, and implementing industrial training programs
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director for Workforce Education
